Partner

Andreas Tanner specializes in electrical and semiconductor engineering, with a focus on standard-essential technologies including WiFi, mobile communications, wireless charging, and video coding. Leveraging his background as an electrical engineer, he drafts patent applications and manages grant proceedings before national and patent offices abroad.

For many years, Andreas has advised and represented clients in complex, often cross-border infringement proceedings before all German court instances and the Unified Patent Court (UPC). His litigation expertise primarily covers mobile communications, video and speech coding, consumer electronics, and connected cars.

Andreas has headed our Munich office since 2015.
